About Baked by the Bay

Hi! Thanks for dropping by to find out a bit more about our little biz. My name is Cassie and I live in Queensland's beautiful Moreton Bay region. I am a mum to three, dog mum to two labradors, and wife to one very patient and supportive husband. In September 2025 I decided to take a leap of faith and purchased Baked by the Bay from the wonderfully talented Anelise.

I have always loved sweet treats and, after many years in the corporate world, then becoming a mum and juggling the work and kid routine, I decided to do something for myself. What did that look like? A great question that had me contemplating many ideas. I wanted to immerse myself in something that gave me purpose and also spread a little happiness in a world that can often times feel dark and lonely. I also wanted to create a legacy for our children, a small family business that we all have a part in, that they may decide to takeover one day with their own ideas and creations.

Being an avid home baker (and proud ex Home Economics student at Bribie Island State High), the kitchen is definitely my happy place. In fact, if I've baked or tasted something truly exceptional, you will often find me dancing around the kitchen enjoying the moment.

And, just like that, here I am, running my own show, getting to bake delicious treats for everyday people like you who love a sweet treat and want to give a a gift that's a bit different but equally as thoughtful. Special moments, big or small, are something to be celebrated. I hope our gift boxes can help make these moments even more special.
